110 Thames Bridges, a series of paintings

My wife Val negotiating our narrowboat Opus V on the upper Thames, very twisty for a 60 foot boat.

The bridges series of paintings took 10 years to complete, from 1996 to 2006. All the paintings are oil on canvas 20” x 16”.       Val did all the bridge notes on this site.

On the left is me, Doug Myers in my land based studio. This is just before an ‘open studio’ event, but still can’t explain the mad look.

The originals are not for sale as this would break the set, but I do sell smaller framed prints and picture files to order.

Several people use the images for their websites which I am ok with, the Thames path guide, canoe sites and walkers sites but please ask and give a link to this site.
